<abstract>
Objective: The present study was conducted to compare the effectiveness of logotherapy and mindfulness on the social adjustment of soldiers.
Methods: In terms of purpose, this study was applied research and employed a quasi-experimental method with a pretest-posttest-follow-up design along with a control group. The sample members were randomly assigned to two experimental groups and one control group (15 participants in each group). The Bell Adjustment Inventory (1961) was used as the measurement instrument in this study. Based on existing protocols, the required training was provided to the experimental groups, while no intervention was administered to the control group. The data were analyzed using SPSS version 26.
Results: Data analysis showed that both logotherapy and mindfulness had a significant effect on the social adjustment of soldiers (p < 0.05). However, no significant difference was found between the effectiveness of these two interventions (p > 0.05).
Conclusions: The findings suggest that both logotherapy and mindfulness are effective approaches for improving the social adjustment of soldiers. Since no significant difference was observed between the two methods, both interventions can be used as suitable psychological strategies to enhance soldiers’ social adjustment. Therefore, counselors and mental health professionals working in military settings may benefit from applying these interventions to promote psychological well-being and better social functioning among soldiers.
</abstract>
