The Iranian Journal of Educational Research (IJER), published by the University of Hormozgan, is committed to publishing research of interest to academics, researchers, and those concerned with mediating research findings to policymakers and practitioners. The journal presents research in a way that is accessible for the educational reader who may not share an author’s particular specialism or context. The journal has a deliberately broad scope and publishes quantitative and qualitative research studies, reviews of research, discussion pieces, short reports, research/original/regular articles, review articles, short papers, case studies, methodologies, applied articles, promotional articles, and book reviews concerned with critical inquiry in and of education. This wide coverage enables discussion of topical issues and policies affecting education and educational establishments worldwide. Manuscripts must be of a quality and context that the Editorial Board think would be of interest to an international readership. The aims and scope of the Iranian Journal of Educational Research (IJER) are to:
- provide a journal that reports research or review on topics that are of international significance across educational contexts;
- publish high-quality articles on educational problems and issues that are of international significance in terms of design and/or findings;
- encourage collaboration by international teams of educational researchers to create special issues on these topics.

The Iranian Journal of Educational Research (IJER) publishes research manuscripts in the field of education. Work must be of a quality and context that the Editorial Board think would be of interest to national and international readers. The journal publishes both empirical and theoretical manuscripts from scholars across a range of disciplines including the sub-disciplines within educational studies, educational psychology as well as the developmental studies in education, cultural studies in education, evolved language mechanisms in learning, gender differences in learning, motivational variables, perceptual capabilities, and related educational subjects.

The Iranian Journal of Educational Research (IJER) aims to foster an environment that encourages scholarly discourse, critical thinking, and the dissemination of research outcomes that can contribute to the enhancement of educational practices, policies, and theories.
